·         Your wifi extender device and your router device must be placed to a same room or to same location.
·         Provide power supply to your computer and wifi extender device. Make sure that power status LED is solid green to your device.
·         From your computer device search for wifi network available for your devices. Wifi access for Netgear ac1200 Dual Band Gigabit WiFi Range Extender device will be available with Netgear_EXT extension.

·         select that network and click on “Connect” button from the same widow.
·         Open web browser and access mywifiext setup address from your device.
·         Select “Continue” button from the same window.

·         You can change the Wifi access password and SSID name for your device.
·         Wait for few seconds and settings will be reflected to your device.

My Netgear extender not connected

Hey guys what’s up! From our couple of day’s research, we have found that many of you are looking for how do I connect my NETGEAR Wi-Fi Range Extender using manual setup. So in this article, we have discussed how to connect to your NETGEAR Wi-Fi Extender using manual setup After the NETGEAR WiFi Extender has already been successfully connected to the router and obtained a valid IP address in the past. Check for the configurations that you must need if you are going to replace your wifi router.


How To connect the NETGEAR WiFi Extender manually:
•    At first, you have to connect your Netgear Router with your Computer via Ethernet cable.
•    Then open any of the web browsers on to your computer or laptop, such as Google Chrome, internet explorer, etc, enter your router default IP address on the address bar of the web browser. Then you have to press enter.

•    Now a new login page will open where you have to enter your Router default Username and default password.
•    Once you enter correct username and password you will be login into the admin page of your router.
•    After successful login into the admin page of your router go to setup option and then go to wireless settings.
•    Now you have to check the Password which is filed under Security Options.
If the password is not the same as your router password, change it so it matches.
•    Click Apply.
•    Reconnect your Wi-Fi devices to the NETGEAR WiFi Extender my wifi ext net.
If you have a Netgear WiFi Extender without an Ethernet port
1.    Reset your NETGEAR WiFi Extender back to factory default settings.
2.    Connect via Wi-Fi to your NETGEAR WiFi extender.
3.    Login to the web user interface of your NETGEAR WiFi Extender using http://myWiFiext.net.
4.    Follow the setup wizard to set up your connection to your router.
5.    Reconnect your Wi-Fi devices to your NETGEAR WiFi Extender.
